Reggaeton (also Reggaeton and Reguetón) is a Latin rhythm, influenced by hip hop in various areas inhabited by Latin Americans in the United States. It has a large influence from other styles of the region such as bomba, salsa, Champeta, cumbia, vallenato and merengue house especially.

Daddy Yankee

Daddy Yankee (Raymond Ayala stage name, Puerto Rico, 1977) Singer, songwriter and producer in Puerto Rico. Raymond Ayala was only a boy of thirteen of the population of Rio Piedras, where he became interested in music and began singing rap themes. Wisin Y Yandel

Stage name of Puerto Rican reggaeton singer Juan Luis Morera Luna (Wisin) and Llandel Veguilla Malave (Yandel), born respectively in 1978 and 1977 in the town of Cayey, in southern Puerto Rico. Also known as W & Y, the duo of History and The Dynamic Duo, they are placed among the most prominent representatives of reggaeton, a musical subgenre of reggae and dance descendant of hip hop became popular at the end of the decade 1990, and whose lyrics sometimes led to major controversies by their racist, violent or overtly sexual. In his hometown, working as a barber Wisin, Yandel was completed while studying theater and interpretation. On issues shared the same musical tastes, and soon made their debut at the scene and recorded some tracks on compilation albums. Jowel and Randy



Joel A. Munoz Martinez was born in Springfield, belonging to the state of Massachusetts, USA, on March 3, 1982. At the age of 7 years became interested in rap music, listening and doing imitations of his idol and that of many: Vico-C. In 1994 when he was in the 7th grade had their first opportunity to demonstrate their talent, singing in a competition won first place and since then discovered his talent for songwriting, which to this day keeps doing. In 1996 he had his first chance to record for a production of gender label Rap & Reggae being "The Fugitive" the first of its many attempts to shine in this music. From there she met producer Alex Quiles, known as Alex Garlgola who invited him to make several recordings for various record as "most wanted Live, DJ Raymond and Gargoyles vol.1" among other, succeeding in them. Also during that time he recorded with renowned DJs such as DJ Dicky, DJ Black and DJ Flavor among others.
